Claymerica LLC (EKnives) is a company that specializes in EDC (Everyday Carry) knives. The company was founded in 2012 by Clayton Ensminger, who has a passion for knives.

Claymerica EKnives started out doing light digital marketing, including writing blog posts and posting on social media. However, the company knew it needed an expert eye and some help to reach its full potential. That’s where Hite Digital came in.

The goals of Claymerica EKnives when they signed up with Hite were to increase traffic to the site and conversions. And that’s exactly what we did.

Thanks to our efforts, traffic to Claymerica’s site did increase, but not only that, these visitors became happy customers, and sales started to increase as well.


It all started with a redesign to revamp an already functional website. After we ran our initial assessment, an important first step we took with all potential clients, we determined the best course of action was to support the company with a national wide SEO campaign, plus an e-commerce add-on service.

Our SEO strategy was simple but effective: we ran an analysis on relevant keywords that users searching for knives tend to use and targeted high-value keywords that would attract those buyers who were ready to convert. We utilized keywords relevant to knives, including top brand names from renowned knife manufacturers, and sold at the store. Then creating content with those keywords.

Our plan includes the regular creation of detailed blog posts that are tied to searchability. The blog posts we wrote also helped increase brand awareness and trust, which are important factors in conversion rate optimization and attracting more impressions.

Also, we are constantly optimizing product pages to ensure users find exactly what they are looking for, as well as having enough information to buy the products.


Visibility and Engagement

We put everything we had into this relationship at the beginning of 2022, and looking back, while comparing to the same time frame 1 year before, we certainly moved the needle by as much as a 12% increase in Impressions and a 14% increase in actual clicks. That not only means more people are finding Claymerica’s site when they search for keywords related to knives, but more potential clients are also visiting the site.

It’s all about finding and choosing the right keywords. This not only matters for searchability but also for what you’re looking to sell. Specific keywords on items, including brand names, were used brilliantly by our team of SEO specialists. We know it’s not about using all the keywords, but about using the right ones.
